20th Annual Mountain Mother Contest Results

A good time was had by all who attended the 20th Annual Mountain Mother Contest on July 4th. Sandra Elving of Willow, with a finishing time of 3 minutes and 2 seconds, won the grand prize trip to Fairbanks for two. Second place went to Heather Fish of Talkeetna, and third place was a tie between Ayla Kalke and Holli Papsodora, both of Talkeetna.
The contest was organized by volunteers of the Talkeetna Historical Society, who would like to send out a big thanks to Matanuska Telephone Association for being the main contest sponsor every year, and to the other local businesses who donated fabulous prizes: Alaska Railroad, Talkeetna River Guides, Moore's Hardware, K2 Aviation, Twister Creek Restaurant, Denali Brewing
Company, and Mountain Massage.
